Research Investment Mechanisms Subcommittee

Charge: Review the university鈥檚 mechanisms to increase research and scholarship productivity and development of areas of distinction (DA 2.0s, investment institute resources, college and department investments, recruitment and startup, etc.). Assess the impact of these mechanisms, and whether there are gaps or duplications. Benchmark best practices at aspirational peer universities.

Deliverable: Recommendations on the right size, decision-making authority, and financial support for developing areas of scholarly distinction.

Global Distinction Infrastructure Modeling Subcommittee

Charge: Develop a model to project research infrastructure needs to meet our university's strategic research goals and metrics.

Deliverable: Using peer benchmarking and current resource efficiency, the subcommittee will develop a model to estimate the needs for new infrastructure (inclusive of research space, administrative support, and other parameters) to support anticipated growth necessary to meet and maintain global distinction.
